🎉 2026 End-of-Year Music Recital (Monday, June 1st) 🎉

We’re so proud of what our students have accomplished and we can’t wait to celebrate!

Recital 1 Schedule (Performances from 6:30pm – 7:15pm)

• 🎛️ Soundcheck: From 6:15pm for students performing on Electric Guitar, Drums, or performances requiring backing tracks. These families will be contacted ahead of time (not applicable to all students).

• 🚪 Doors Open: Audience members and performers not requiring a soundcheck should arrive from 6:20pm onwards. During this time, some students may be line-checking on stage to set appropriate levels. Refreshments will also be available for guests and performers.

• ✅ Performances: The recital will begin at approximately 6:30pm and will run for around 45 minutes. Please arrive before this time to avoid disruptions during performances.

Recital 2 Schedule (Performances from 7:30pm – 8:15pm)

• 🎛️ Soundcheck: From 7:20pm for students performing on Electric Guitar, Drums, or performances requiring backing tracks. These families will be contacted ahead of time (not applicable to all students).

• 🚪 Doors Open: Audience members and performers not requiring a soundcheck should arrive from 7:25pm onwards. During this time, some students may be line-checking on stage to set appropriate levels. Refreshments will also be available for guests and performers.

• ✅ Performances: The recital will begin at approximately 7:30pm and will run for around 45 minutes (depending on signup numbers). Please arrive before this time to avoid disruptions during performances.

Other Important Details:

• 🎟️ Tickets: Tickets will be $15 per adult (children go free!). Use the links below to purchase them ahead of time to guarantee your seat! Spaces at Kensington Sound are limited.

• 📝 Program Notes: A scheduled email will be sent out the day of the recital on June 1st with the full program notes. Some students will be performing more than one or more pieces (tutors are confirming these for the program notes as we lead up to the recital). We ask students to have a full piece prepared that they've been working on and they can play from start to finish. Shorter performances are also welcome!

• 📸 Photography: If you would like photos of your child's performance to save as a memento, please check off in the signup form giving permission ("I give permission for my child to have photos taken during their performance"). Photos will be provided at no cost and will be shared with you via a secure link for you to download at your convenience. There will be strictly no flash photography. Additionally, Montcrest School will receive a copy, which may be used in the Montcrest Mirror. Please note that we will not post or use these photos on our website or social media. Students who do not wish to have their photo taken will be made known to our photographer, so you only need to reply to opt in (please also feel free to take photos and video when it's your child's turn).

• 🚗 Parking: The Green P car park closest to the studio can only be entered from St Andrews Street or Baldwin Street.

• 📍Location: The studio door is slightly nondescript, here is the street view image to help direct you. The entrance to the studio is in between a restaurant (below the studio) and Blackbird Baking Co.
