All of our lessons include:
Music Theory + Composition
Students will develop their technique while also being introduced to music theory, composition and reading musical notation.
We integrate this into all instrumental and vocal lessons, as learning these elements of music helps students understand the fundamentals and apply them to their playing and singing.
Structured Learning + Familiar Music
Students can work towards their RCM performance grades or, for guitars and drums, we offer a syllabus created by the Rockschool series (grades 1-8).
We encourage students to engage with familiar music, as genres and songs they hear at home can help connect them more deeply with their learning.
How Our Partnerships Work
📅 Lessons & Term Structure
Lessons are billed by term (typically 8-14 lessons per term) and by student.
No lessons are scheduled during standard school holidays (this is tailored to each school’s calendar).
A minimum of 24-hours notice is required for cancellations to receive a Make-Up credit.
Automated email reminders sent to parents the day before each lesson.
🔗 Parent & Student Dashboard
Each student has an individual Student Dashboard that contains all important information about their lessons and invoices.
Within their dashboard they can view lesson notes and progress updates each week.
Easily see all lesson dates and sync their lesson schedules with calendar apps for easy scheduling.
Access any new or past lesson resources and materials assigned by tutors.
🏫 School Communication & Spaces
We handle all bookings and student allocations—all we require is a lesson space (a piano/drum kit is required for lessons with those instruments).
A dedicated School Dashboard is shared to ensure smooth communication between tutors, parents, and the school administration.
In this dashboard the school administration can view the full school lesson schedule, term dates, tutor records and any other relevant information.
📜 Safeguarding Practices
All visiting tutors have a Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) prior to hiring. This is renewed every two years. Certificates are shared with the school for transparency and best practice.
💸 Revenue-Sharing
We currently operate on a revenue-sharing model in our school partnerships, where the school receives a percentage of each lesson taught, paid out on a monthly basis.
End-of-Year Recital
Our End-of-Year Recital is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their progress in a professional setting.
Last year's recital was held at Kensington Sound, a historic recording studio established in 1971, known for producing iconic recordings for legendary Canadian artists such as Sharon Lois & Bram, Alannah Myles, Jeff Healey, Teenage Head, and Murray McLauchlan.
📍 Location: Kensington Sound, Baldwin Street, Kensington Market
🎹 Special Feature: Piano students had the chance to perform on a one-of-a-kind Schimmel Concert Grand Piano, a rare and unique instrument recently donated to the studio.
🎙 Performance Setup: We utilized the newly renovated front lounge concert space, designed in the style of the Tiny Desk Concert series, fully equipped with vintage and modern recording gear, including amps, microphones, drum kits, guitars, PA system, recording console, and more.
Additionally, as Will works as a music producer out of Kensington Sound, this made the recital an exciting opportunity for students to experience a real-world studio environment.
